Rasanya kurang lengkap jika langsung membahas CMS Wordpess tanpa tahu tentang wordpress itu sendiri. WordPress adalah aplikasi sumber terbuka (open source) yang sangat populer digunakan sebagai mesin blog (blog engine). WordPress dibangun dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data (database) MySQL. Wordpress sebenarnya merupakan penerus b2/cafelog yang dikembangkan oleh Michel Valdrighi. Pengembangan b2/cafelog akhirnya dihentikan oleh Michel Valdrighi, yang kemudian diteruskan oleh Matt Mullenweg dan Mike Little dengan nama Wordpress atas usul teman Matt, Christine Selleck dan sejak tahun 2003 Wordpress mulai dikenal.

Karena bersifat open source dan kemampuan wordpress yang mudah dimodifikasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna, wordpress tersedia versi CMS Wordpress yang bisa di dowload gratis di wordpress.org. Dan pengguna membutuhkan domain dan hosting jika ingin membangun weblog dengan cms wordpess ini atau bisa juga digunakan secara lokal [localhost].

Berbeda dengan wordpress.com, situs penyedia layanan blog gratis yang didirikan oleh perusahaan Automattic dengan menggunakan mesin wordpress, Pengguna pengguna tidak direpotkan dalam hal configurasi ataupun memikirkan domain & hosting. Namun walau demikian, wordpress.com memberi batasan kepada pengguna untuk menggunakan semua fitur secara full, perlu membayar jika ingin mendapatkan fasilitas lebih. Jadi saran saya lebih baik menggunakan CMS Wordpress.

Tentang PHP

Php atau Hypertext Preprocessor merupakan bahasa pemograman yang bisa disisipkan dalam kode html. Php bisanya digunakan untuk membuat website dinamis contohnya CMS [Content Management System] - untuk contoh cms sendiri: CMS Wordpress, Jommla, Drupal, dan masih banyak lagi.

Sejarah PHP

Awalnya PHP merupakan kependekan dari Personal Home Page, yang dibuat oleh Rasmus Lerdorf pada tahun 1995. Pada waktu itu PHP masih bernama Form Interpreted (FI), yang wujudnya berupa sekumpulan skrip yang digunakan untuk mengolah data formulir dari web.

Dengan dirilisnya PHP oleh Rasmus menjadi sumber terbuka [open source] menjadikan banyak programmer ikut mengembangkan PHP. Dan pada November 1997, dirilis PHP/FI 2.0 dimana sudah diimplementasikan dalam program C.

Pada tahun 1997, perusahaan Zend menulis ulang interpreter PHP menjadi lebih bersih, baik, dan lebih cepat. Kemudian pada Juni 1998, Zend meresmikan rilis PHP 3.0 dan singkatan PHP diubah menjadi Hypertext Preprocessing.

Pada pertengahan tahun 1999, Zend kembali merilis interpreter PHP baru yang dikenal dengan PHP 4.0. Dimana versi ini merupakan versi PHP yang paling banyak dipakai pada awal abad ke-21. Versi ini banyak dipakai disebabkan kemampuannya untuk membangun aplikasi web kompleks tetapi tetap memiliki kecepatan dan stabilitas yang tinggi.

Pada Juni 2004, Zend merilis PHP 5.0. Dalam versi ini, inti dari interpreter PHP mengalami perubahan besar. Versi ini juga memasukkan model pemrograman berorientasi objek ke dalam PHP untuk menjawab perkembangan bahasa pemrograman ke arah paradigma berorientasi objek.

Mendukung banyak paket database baik komersial maupun non-komersial (Adabas D, dBase, Direct MS-SQL, Empress, FilePro, FrontBase, Hyperwave, IBM DB2, Informix, Ingres, Interbase, MSQL, MySQL, ODBC, Oracle, Ovrimos, PostgrSQL, Solid, Sybase, UNIX DBM, Velocis).
Tidak terbatas pada hasil keluaran HTML: PHP memiliki kemampuan untuk mengolah keluaran gambar, PDF, dan movie Flash. PHP juga dapat menghasilkan teks seperti XHTML dan XML.

Banyak para master-master yang sudah gembar-gembor income internet, dan banyak juga yang memberikan apa saja peluang-peluang income Internet itu. Dari yang paling kecil yakni PTC (paid to click) atau klik iklan sampai yang besar: Adsense, bisnis Affilasi Amazon, Ebay, Jual beli barang dan jasa serta peluang yang lainnya.

Pada realitanya income internet tidak semudah menggerakkan tangan memegang mouse, namun dibutuhkan waktu, tenaga dan juga pikiran. Perlunya konsisten dan fokus dalam menjalankan peluang di Internet juga utama. Tidak hanya itu, selektif dalam memilih peluang-peluang yang ada juga menjadi permasalahan, karena tanpa selektif bukan hanya rugi secara waktu dan pikiran namun bisa juga material.

Akhir-akhir ini Om Arif sekaligus panutan saya dalam income internet memberitahukan paluang income, yakni: i Panel Online. Model bisnis internet dengan memberikan anggotanya survei dengan imbalan poin yang kemudian poin bisa ditukar dengan dollar yang dikirim melalui Paypal.

Terlihat simple, karena kita cukup bergabung - isi survey yang telah disediakan oleh pihak I Panel Online dan kemudian kita dapat poin yang bisa ditukar dollar. Contoh: untuk mendapatkan 20 ribu kita hanya perlu 220 poin, 50 ribu untuk 520 poin dan 100 ribu untuk 1020 poin. Namun pda kenyataannya apakan simple dan mudah seperti yang saya uraikan diatas?

Saya sendiri baru bergabung dan mencoba seminggu ini, sudah 70 ribu total yang saya tarik ke paypal dan perkiraan akan masuk minggu depan. Jadi nunggu gajian dari i panel online :)

Bagi saya Search Engine Optimization atau seo masih misteri dan perlunya belajar dan terus belajar. Mungkin hanya saya yang tidak menyadari jika team wordpress telah memberikan informasi penting tentang search engine optimization untuk wordpress. Dari informasi yang diberikan oleh team wordpress dalam laman codex wordpress, bisa saya simpulkan sebagai berikut:

Tidak ada eror kode dalam web. Disinilah perlunya chek validasi html, karena eror kode yang ditimbulkan oleh kesalahan html, css, ataupun kode lainnya bisa menghambat search engine dalam bergerak menelusuri web.

Masalah konten karena pada dasarnya search engine membaca - tidak melihat, dengan hal itu search engine lebih memahami akan kata-kata ataupun kalimat dengan susunan yang baik dan benar. Konten juga mengandung kepadatan keyword (kata kunci) yang seimbang antara title, descripsi, dan nilai kata kunci itu sendiri. Dan penting juga bahwa kata kunci merupakan kata kunci yang sering digunakan dalam pencarian disearch engine.
Untuk konten gambar dan link, harap memberikan atribut title dan alt. Karena sesuai uraian diatas, jika search engine itu membaca bukan melihat, jadi dengan adanya atribut title dan alt search engine bisa mendeskripsikan gambar ataupun link.
Masalah terakhir adalah backlink web.
